The hotel lobby staff were very friendly and efficient, especially the two young men working the valet, who went above and beyond to be helpful! There were some cleaning staff who would not stop loudly laughing and talking in the hallway while they were cleaning rooms, I found this to be obnoxious. Toronto has travellers from every corner of the world and some people may be trying to sleep in the afternoon.

I had a historic studio suite. The room itself was acceptable with a very nice bed and large TV, but there's definitely room for improvement. I was dissappointed there was no bath tub, the shower stall was looking past its prime and the shower head was annoying to try and adjust. The towels were scratchy which is inexcusable for a four star hotel. I know the layout of the building isn't something that can be changed, but there was absolutely zero natural light in the room, the window looked on to a wall. Kind of depressing.

The hotel restaurant was decent, and had a good selection of food and cocktails. Our waiter who served us on Wednesday night around 10 pm was wonderful, super friendly and helpful - he really made our evening! The room service charges in this hotel are ridiculous, so we didn't use that service.

The location really sells this place. You're within walking distance of many bars, restaurants, Eaton Centre, the financial district, transit stops...the list goes on.

Overall, a good hotel with room for improvement.
