We put on meetings across the country on a regular basis. We normally book out 10-12 months. When we called this facility, the salesperson, Valerie, was extremely rude, told us we were booking too far out (October 2019), quoted $5,000 for a meeting room (normally we have the meeting room at no charge as we do meals, etc.), wanted to know how much we paid at other facilities before quoting anything else. Even though we normally use Marriott properties, we will definitely not be using this one. If you are looking to have a business meeting in the North Detroit area, don't call this hotel. Amazing, we want to do business and the salesperson is rude and insulting.
