I worked here for just over a year, and I have watched this place decline over time. The home appears lovely. Warm, welcoming and homely. However, employed there are a lot of Romanian workers who are not given the correct support to learn English to a high standard. (This is important as they are communicating with elderly, frail individuals, some with Dementia, who sometimes struggle to understand them - leading to frustration and upset with the residents)
The amount of staff in the home at any one time is not enough to meet the needs of the residents adequately, and safeguardings are not always raised. The training is all online and very easy to skip through without learning a thing, the moving and handling training in inaccurate and very basic, and therefore results in poor practice. (To no fault of the carers working there)
In my opinion, this home needs a complete overhaul.
Do not always believe CQC reports - this home has its tricks.
