I recently became a member of the libraries in San Jose. This one in particular is great. It's huge with multiple floors and has a little tully's cafe at the bottom floor. Tons of books, magazines, audio books, cds, etc and the staff is really helpful and nice. It's located in the downtown area though so parking can be a little challenging sometimes.
