I worked in a dozen institutions working in the field of child protection in India, Cambodia, and Thailand. In all honesty, the AVEC Child Protection Center is out of the ordinary because it is simply the reference in this field. Just past the gate, you feel something wonderful, there are flowers everywhere, trees and plants and in the middle of it, there are children everywhere who play, study and laugh. Behind that, there is a prominent education system, teachers work with children who have suffered severe abuse. A lot of smile and happiness in this magical place. It is in my humble opinion, the best NGO in the field in Cambodia.
