Historic yet underwhelming-- but as the preferred pedestrian entrance to the Old City, it's really where you should enter.

Jaffa Gate itself is simply overwhelmed by much more grandeur inside. So I don't mean to knock it, it's more like saying it's a gate to a beautiful place (city/castle/church/whatever)-- there's more to behold beyond, that's all!
