Canning is actually pretty interesting it turns out.

The cannery has cool exhibits about the development of canning as a process, the machinery involved, and how this ties into ecological and environmental issues. Admittedly the environmental side could be better. While there is some mention of racial issues, lile Japanese workers around WW2 and Indigenous peoples, Ibfelt these were not as fully addressed as they could be. There is also a missed opportunity to talk about labour automation and changes in industrialization, and how that impacts communities. But overall a pretty entertaining little historical site.

If you like sea food there is a short segment of boardwalk right next door to the East with restaurants and fresh sea food being sold. Some of the shops are more tourist-trap kinds of places though.
