Nicole Liddle Review of Capone's Flicker Lite

We were looking for a spot to watch the Cubs game so were originally excited about this Chicago themed bar. Noticed a live maine lobster "crane game" as soon as we walked in. It was rather disturbing and should have been my first indication of the low level of this establishment. Server visited quickly but when asked for more information about one of the beers her response was a blank stare and "I don't know. All I drink is Michelobe." I don't expect every server to be an alcohol expert but she couldn't be bothered to turn around and ask the bartender working 10 feet from our table.
Soon after ordering we realized there was a bayside patio out back so we asked to move. I know that can be a pain for a server but she made no effort to hide her obvious irritation towards us. TVs were only turned on at the bar but we were promptly informed we couldn't order food there. We'd have to sit at a table. Denying patrons the ability to buy food based on their seating preference seems like a poor business strategy. That was our final indication that this place wasn't for us and we promptly left, a common theme in other reviews here.
I've worked as a server for years, so I'm typically forgiving and understanding when things don't go smoothly. However, I felt like an inconvenience to the staff rather than a paying customer. I get the sense no one likes working here, which translates to a negative experience as a patron. We took our business to Nick's about a block away on the broadwalk and had a great time.
