Note that this is related to my personal experience with the Consular Section of the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, and not an in person visit.

In my particular case, a request that I had made to the Canadian Consulate in Osaka was forwarded to the Consular Section of the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo.

After the initial contact, it took a little bit of effort to get some traction in regards to my request given that the Consular Section had to consult with the Global Affairs Canada department.

All the exchanges were via email with a staff member(s).

Overall the interaction was very professional and handled with due diligence.
