Was referred to Orthopedics by my PCP for knee swe...

Was referred to Orthopedics by my PCP for knee swelling. They drew some fluid from my knee and also sent me for an X Ray and a blood test. I then went back for a follow up visit after I was diagnosed with Lyme, and they drew some fluid from my knee again.

All told CHA charged me $1500 - it would have been $3100 but my insurance covered part of it. The most egregious of the charges were two separate ones for "Hospital Services" at $500 each, which I later found out were actually "Treat/OBS RM" - they charged me $500 for the room! I was not admitted to the hospital, so I don't get how they can legally charge me $500 for a room, I was simply there to see the Orthopedic doctor for my knee.
