Corina Schram Review of Langdoed Huis De Voorst
We had our wedding here and I must say that beside...
We had our wedding here and I must say that besides the fact that the location is indeed wonderful, the client service is certainly mediocre. I'll give just a few examples: not having hot water in the Koetshuis (I think that is inadmissible in the 21st century) and the only thing that they had to say when we complained the next day was:'Oh! Is that still going on?'. Another thing is that of course on your wedding day you expect that at least your entrance (as a bride) walking down the aisle would be unforgettable: it actually was! The red carpet, which was not vacuumed, left an entire trace of red fluff all over my dress just before coming down the aisle, not to mention that the music stopped just as I was walking towards my husband to be, only to restart again after a few steps. And a last thing, although it's certainly not the least: our remaining thank you gifs for our guests and our ring pillow are still lost somewhere in Huis de Voorst, we never received them back, and our gifts that were left in the house at the end of the party, were thrown out and we found them on the stairs the next morning.
So overall, the only ones who saved the party in the end were the chef (compliments for the food and service) and the DJ who made the party worth the while.
It is a pity I have to give a bad review and I normally refrain from doing so, but I think anyone's wedding day should be unforgettable in a good way. I understand that no wedding is perfect, but I think that the people who are in charge on the day to make it as good as possible, have very poor client orientation skills or simply don't care. And that is indeed a waste!
