Go early in the morning, otherwise it gets busy on hot days. Some shady spots available and some grassy spots available if you get there early. Fine sand, good sunning spot, and wonderful water. The beach is shallow and sloped, so going far out is no issue. The greenery is pretty, concession stand is a little expensive- bring sandwiches.

When it IS busy though, it gets BUSY. Not quite shoulder to shoulder busy, but "upwind of someone no matter where you go to shake off your blanket/spray your sunscreen" busy is a constant.

When it's quiet, its really a beautiful stay.
