Booked a room for the Hotel with the reservation going through Expedia. Reservation request, 1 traditional room, 1 king size bed. My booking receipt indicated my request. However, upon arrival to the room we had two doubles, no king. A call was made to the front desk. Guest services indicated it is Expedia's problem not booking the correct room type. And, the hotel when I insisted provided me with a non-descript receipt as to what Expedia requested. Expedia indicated they did book a king. Hotel indicated they do not book a king for one night. Expedia indicates they have no records/notes indicating the hotel has king restrictions. No one will take responsibility. My perception of the hotel employee I spoke with is he tells lies. And, the same for the Expedia employee in their call-center. At this point I still have not been able to speak with a manager from the Hotel or a supervisor from Expedia.
The room air conditioner also malfunctioned. Even in the OFF position it continued to throw heat. Thermostat was set on 60 no heat/air button controlled by temp selected. Front desk provided me, at that point with where the on/off switch is. The controls on the wall unit itself are overwritten with the wall unit.
