Sciton is not worth it.
I purchased a Joule, Multi-laser Sciton 2014 for 300K. I paid 300K for a new machine. Recently it was broken and a technician from Sciton opened the box of laser. Surprisingly the Capacitor (power generator) was manufactured on 3/04/2008. It was manufactured 6yrs prior to be sold as a machine as of 5/2014. It is not reasonable that 6yrs of capacitor with expired warranty is equipped for the new machine. Clearly I purchased the machine from the company, Sciton where new machines but not refurbished machines were sold.
The laser machine ,Joule 2014, was broken, and nothing worked.
I recall that a hand piece of laser was broken within 2wks from purchase. Also a cap of BBL was cracked spontaneously within 1.5yrs from purchase. Also there was a dent on surface when the laser was brought to my clinic by a salesman (Matthew Gelber, Northern California ) on the first day which was not explained.
Who does expect that such an expensive new laser is so malfunctioning and poorly equipped with 6yr old capacitor.
I purchased the Sciton Laser machine based on the recommendation by the doctors who were top-notched.
I feel that I was deceived with this poor quality of laser!
