Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (abbreviated as ITS) is a public university located in Surabaya. ITS was originally established by the Technical Higher Education Foundation (YPTT) chaired by Dr. Nitisastro figures on November 10, 1957.
The first ITS Anniversary was November 10, 1960, while the name ITS began to be used in Government Regulation No. 9 of 1961 (dated March 23, 1961). In its initial vision, ITS was intended to educate leaders who excelled in the field of science and technology, to appoint the Republic of Indonesia to be an advanced and high-civilized country.
The Sukolilo ITS campus occupies an area of 180 hectares, with a total building area of approximately 150,000 m2. In addition there are manyar campuses that are used by D-3 and D-4 Civil Engineering programs with a building area of 5.176 m2 and Campus ITS Cokroaminoto which is used for master management and several cooperation institutions with a building area of 4,000 m2.
