Horrific. My father went for heart surgery to repair is titanium heart valve. Shortly after the procedure, he was put into a medically induced coma because of the surgery complications. We were promised 2 nurses over the night and a doctor on call to make sure he survives the night. We only had one nurse for my father and the doctors who were "on call" would not return calls on time. My fathers condition deteriorated over the night and the hospital failed to provided the human resources to save him. During the night I overhead our nurse talking to her colleagues asking "who's getting a drink with me after work" while my sick father was dying.

The doctors did not return the calls in the middle of the night and the nurse was not able to do all that needed to be done to save my dad. My father died in the hospital that night because of the negligence of the staffing at Long Beach Memorial. Do NOT go here for procedures. I lost my father because of them.
