I've got to be honest--after living in several countries outside the US over the past 15 years, I have never had a worse embassy experience than I have here. The employees were rude, unclear and caused us no end of frustration trying to get a passport renewed. I was told we could come without an appointment and the guards refused to let my husband in. He called me, I called ACS, the woman was rude, wouldn't even tell me her name (it's policy! What on earth?!?) and told me the issue was resolved. I had no idea if my husband got in or not. I could go on but I won't. Just be prepared for a headache....
