Review of Taranaki Honda

My Father passed away unexpectedly leaving us in a bit of difficulty as regards transport for my disabled mother. To give peace of mind i purchased a Honda Jazz from Taranaki Honda as a gift to ensure she had a reliable car from a trusted source.

As part of the deal i negotiated that the first service on the Jazz was to be free. On paying for the vehicle i inquired do i need a certificate or invoice for the free service? I was told i did not need to worry it was entered into the service system when my mother booked the car in for a service it would flag.

Low and behold when my mother took her car in for her first service it wasn't on the system and sales denied that was the deal that had been made and that i was mistaken. I wasn't mistaken i shook the guys hand and i had followed up before taking delivery that was the deal we agreed.

I am so disappointed and saddened at Taranaki Honda's behavior, i would expect such antics from a dodgy discount fly by night dealer but not a main dealer displaying the Honda name. After all buy Honda from Honda...

They were perfectly happy to rip off a grieving elderly disabled widow over a $300 oil and filter service. For me the most disappointing thing was the shameless lies to my mothers face, they knew the background behind the purchase of this car but didn't care.

If they were happy to treat her so dishonestly you really need to carefully consider what they would be prepared to do to you.

I am a real customer and this is real review, no doubt Honda will protest and deny the above is true and that i am mistaken. I promise it is the truth and i am happy to stand my ground to anyone.
