Our fish - from a smallish range of choices - was well-cooked and our server was attentive and enthusiastic.

But this Ivar's was once a nice spot for a no-frills fish dish that might set you back $20. That's now the base price for fish and chips; anything fancier and you pay through the nose. Honestly, I think prices went up 33% in the two years before my most recent visit. At nearly 40 dollars for any cut of fish, Ivar's prices are too high for me to return soon.

A final note: while this may not bother anyone, the Pacific Northwest Indigenous art that saturates Ivar's interior includes numerous masks that, in their original context, were meant only to be seen for ceremonial purposes.
