Went for afternoon tea. We were met by friendly staff who acknowledged one of us had a nut allergy. We were informed that the food did not contain any nuts but they could not guarantee nut free. The food was then served by another member of staff who guaranteed 100% nut free! We then received our tea and coffee, and within seconds, another member of staff asked if we would like anymore tea or coffee! The food itself was okay, had a lot better, and more, for a lot less. The room we sat in had two other people eating and approximately 6/7 other tables. Whilst eating our food, two other guests were shown to their table, which was so close to ours, that my wife thought the gentleman was going to sit on her lap. We ate our food and never saw another member of staff again. 30 minutes later we got up from our table to find 3 of them enjoying a chat and so we simply walked out the door without any of them even noticing we'd even left! I guess if you employ cheap labour, you get poor standards! For a place that likes to charge high prices for mediocre food, we won't be coming back. Although if we did, know one would know! The intriguing issue for the owners, is, did we pay?
