Having dealt with crowds and rain all week on my vacation, I decided to do my own cupcake wars. I picked Georgetown Cupcakes, Sprinkles, and Wired and Baked. I tasted each and give reviews accordingly.

First off, Georgetown had the biggest crowd. It was raining so lines weren't too bad but it still took about 15 minutes to order.
Secondly, Georgetown has a lot of flavors! They all sounded so great and looked great.
Third, Georgetown is slightly smaller than Sprinkles and a lot smaller than Wired. They are .50 cents cheaper than the other places.

When it comes to taste, my favorite cupcake came from Georgetown but they got second on my rating system after Sprinkles. Read on. I ordered the Chocolate Gauche and the Raspberry Cheesecake. The Raspberry Cheesecake was my favorite "cupcake" but after careful consideration I don't think its fair to call it a cupcake. It's a wonderfully delicious cheesecake.
That left me to compare the lemon blueberry cupcake I got at Sprinkles and the chocolate gauche from Georgetown and the two flavors I got at at Wired.
On the taste test, Sprinkles came in first but only ever so slightly. I got the lemon blueberry cupcake and it was moist and perfectly proportioned with cake and frosting. The cake is more moist than Georgetown, which is more of the solid cake consistency that I prefer. It's more of an enjoyable cake. To be scientific I should have gotten similar flavors but I didn't.
So:
Sprinkles: best lemon cake
Georgetown: best cupcake consistency
Wired: biggest
