A wonderful place to rest and relax!
The island can be reached by plane from Male - the runway is on an island adjacent to Sun Island and from there by motorboat to the port of Sun Island.
The service is excellent, the hotel base is more than pleasant - bungalows around the island, each with a beach, sunbeds and a veranda to the sea, as well as the typical "villas in the water". I personally prefer the sand and we were surprised to find that as soon as the sun goes down the beach literally comes to life - thousands of crabs and crabs jump out of their hiding places and start looking for food.
I especially liked the decision for open and closed part of the bathroom - taking a shower right under the palm trees was my favorite moment.
The food is plentiful for all tastes, and the decision to have their own table in the restaurant shows a very good managerial approach to the comfort of guests.
The pool was originally made with an island with palm trees in the center and a bar in the water. Next to it is the all-day disco bar, where there is a varied program every night. Very close is a coffee aperitif offering snacks, cocktails and great coffee.
Attractions such as feeding sharks and stingrays, crab competitions, outdoor entertainment, snorkeling, fishing and more. are in abundance.
There are also organized yoga classes and a fitness center. In a separate part of the island are sea sports (there is also a bar among the palm trees for those who are not sports-minded).
Travel around the island is on foot, with bicycle rental or electric cars. Even the staff uses electric mopeds so as not to disturb the vacationers.
The year-round temperature is 28-29o and it rains for a short time almost every day, but the humidity is not felt. Umbrellas are provided in each bungalow due to the climatic features.
I was pleasantly surprised by the good coverage of WI FI throughout the island. It allowed us to use Zello, Viber, Skype for conversations with each other without any problems! Just the internet card I bought for 15 USD from Male turned out to be superfluous.
In addition to the main restaurant on the island, there are several other such as Italian (on the pier itself), where they also organize snorkeling, Thai, etc.
The Spa center is also interesting.
Most surprising to me was that the fauna was mostly represented by crows. Between the palm trees there are something like local wild hens, and a particularly attractive long-legged chicken and several huge bats diversified the environment.
The water is a unique color, clean and pleasant to swim, but care must be taken with the pieces of coral in the sand on the beach and in the water. You have to walk 30 meters inside to be able to swim. The water is calm and transparent - you can see in the distance how the ocean waves crash into the reef. There are swings of various types all over the island, even hammocks in the water.
It is interesting that small sharks pass gracefully around you when you bathe, but you must keep in mind the stingrays.
It feels like you have moved to another world. It is no coincidence that the Maldives is said to be a corner of Paradise. The time there flows so imperceptibly and you feel somehow purified. I recommend the resort and I admit I would be happy to rest there again!
