The Great Sand Dunes are vast, awesome and scary. Don't wonder out too far as it's easy to get lost and think you are in a desert. The pictures below are of the landscape just to the south and south west of the dunes. I believe that is Mount Blanca in the background. Nice little town, about enough to do in one day.
