I give Randy's 2 stars. For Russ helping me get a refund. the lack of spine to make things right with a customer and workmanship gets a zero. I finished restoring a custom 1965 MGB in May 2017. I had a father / son trip from Snohomish to San Diego scheduled in June. I decided to take my functional 3rd member from my 8" ford rear end to get taller freeway gears for fuel mileage installed by Randy's. Did the break in procedures as described and only made it to Eureka California before the rear differential seized up. $800 tow bill, $1,200 rebuild in San Diego, ruined experience with my teenage son.
Here is what I asked for. A refund for the work that was done ($526.36), then a credit to get more work done up to the $1,200.00. I told them it wasn't their fault I took the car on a road trip, so I would eat the tow bill.
FOUR months later I get a check for $526.36 and I am kindly told by Russ that some people took some heat for even approving that refund, so it's a done deal.
I'm a business owner with a fleet of 23 vehicles. I'm a member of multiple car groups, constantly working on cars and trucks and now will not only withhold my money from Randy's... I will make it a point to let everybody I possibly can know what kind of head-screwed on backwards place that is. Imagine how special and rare a road trip is with a teenage son or daughter. Apparently Randy's cannot.
