It is extraordinary and in some respects it is the best museum in Madrid. It is the only museum where it is possible to photograph and where the audio guide (above all the general explanation of the room) is extremely precise and interesting. There are two collections on display: one permanent and one addition, by Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza (the latter without audio explanations!). It covers a vast artistic panorama, perhaps among the best ever for the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and not only European (well represented America). Two large spaces are intended for temporary exhibitions.
