The gallery is surprisingly quiet, even at midday during the school year. For UW students and faculty (who can enter for free), it is both an amazing respite from the rest of campus and a great chance to engage with contemporary art. For the general public, the entrance fee is perhaps a bit steep, and the gallery is not suitable for young children (<10), but it is still beautiful, and rotating exhibits may be worth the price. It might be hard to spend more than two hours at the gallery if there isn't a special event.
