Appalling service and unfair customer treatment.

Appalling service and unfair customer treatment.

Mercedes sold be a demo car in January as if I was buying a bag of chips, with no explanation of terms and conditions whatsoever, it's more complex to buy vehicle insurance policies. Fast forward to 5 November, I learn that since my vehicle is 192 days overdue for service my warrantee has been canceled and I have to pay for the current service, plus the vehicle inspection and ensure the car is back to factory standards. They asked for my reasons for not bringing the car in on time, I explained that there was Covid19 since March, I've since not been going to work or using the car except for short drives to the shops, and it's my first car under warranty so I had no idea of such terms and no one explained these terms to me. Their response was that my reasons are not valid enough, they had a grace period for Covid19 reasons and it ended in August/ September, I asked if they ever sent out comms on this grace period and their response was a definite "No". I requested them yesterday to send me a written letter explaining their reasons for declining my complaint and they advised that they would have it sent within 24 hours and I am still waiting. I doubt they will because I was given 2-3 working days for a response on my complaint but I had to follow up on the 4th day. Mercedes-Benz is overrated. I've just given the dealer go ahead to do the service, but i feel really unfairly treated.
