Absolutely do not recommend this place.

Absolutely do not recommend this place.

We brought our cat in on a Sunday, having been working with our regular vet - closed on Sundays - for a few weeks to diagnose a still-unknown illness. She took a rapid turn for the worse and was suddenly unable to walk, so we raced out to Redwood.

When we eventually got into an exam room, we calmly and carefully explained what we did know about her condition. The tech was fine, but the vet clearly had about 30 seconds for us. I was in the process of bringing her out of the cage, and after a second or two the vet just picked it up and DUMPED her out - again, cat can't walk for an unknown reason. Maybe don't throw her around. We were asked a few cursory questions before the vet left again to "talk to the team." Then a tech came in with a list of services they wanted to perform (to the tune of $2000+), most of which had not been explained to us, and had items listed that did not apply to our cat at all. She left to correct the paperwork.

Vet came back, apparently assuming we were going to OK a few thousand dollars' worth of unexplained services at the drop of a hat, and asked if I had emailed her the diagnostics from our regular vet. Well, no - she'd spent two minutes with us before, and left before saying where to send them. Vet said she'd get us that info and left again.

While we waited, we heard the tech who had messed up our paperwork talking about outright losing another patient's. At that point we had already decided not to leave our cat with a practice that can't even handle paperwork or explain what they're charging for, but that confirmed it for us.

Got some fluids & meds for our kitty to hold her over until the next day, and left. We never even saw the "correct" paperwork; the list of services attached to our reciept was still the wrong list, and didn't include any information whatsoever about the stuff they'd actually given her.

TL;DR: terrible experience from start to finish. At no point did we feel they actually listened to or cared what we had to say, or that our cat would be well cared-for. Thankfully our regular vet recommended a different emergency practice for the future, because you couldn't pay us to put an animal in Redwood's hands ever again.
