The list of problems at this rehabilitation cent...

The list of problems at this rehabilitation center are too numerous to detail so I ll just cover some of the highlights:

They did not have patient medication as required and promised and expected said patient to go without antibiotics and post surgery blood thinners for three days (until their pharmacy was open even though others were open and could even deliver) they specifically told patient to not bring her own medication or mobility aids but they had difficulty creating a working wheelchair from pieces of about 50 broken wheelchairs, and they grossly overstated the availability of other frequently needed devices.

Staff used improper technique in moving her resulting in damage and swelling, bandage dressings were changed erratically and without due diligence resulting ripped open sutures when dried bandages were torn off many hours too late.

Patent was repeatedly given other people s medicine seemingly to save the facility money, one substitution came with the requirement that the patient would need to be monitored which the facility claimed the Dr would have to order, but they already didn t follow his prescription order, choosing instead to substitute a more dangerous alternative while notifying no one.

After suffering numerous setbacks caused by the negligence of staff, an attempted transfer (by the patient) to a far better facility (she had been to before for the same recovery) was hampered by false reports claiming that she was ready to go home- in the pack of lies they even claimed that she climbed eight steps when they only have three, and she couldn t climb those because her knee kept buckling. They told her it was her fault that she was being denied the transfer because had she not asked to be transferred the insurance company wouldn t have looked at her file that had the (false) information they created to show how she was improved and ready to go home.

There is so much more wrong with the place, it s likely to turn into a local scandal, as they seem to be pocketing money that should go to required medicine and treatment.
