Short review: go with someone else. This company is extremely overpriced, does a subpar job, and does not value their customers. Long review: the best thing I can say about this company is that they are available for services, but there may be a reason why they are so available. We used BelRed to install a new furnace when ours stopped working during a cold weather week. Their bid was extremely high, but we had few options since other companies were booked out for days due to the freezing weather. BelRed did a great job installing the new furnace and everything ran smoothly. My expectations, given the very high cost for the new furnace and install, were met. Naturally, we decided to have them service our furnace (as well as AC unit) this year since they did the furnace install. Their servicing was $100+ over the other companies in the area (yes, we should have gone with another company). I was expecting a high-quality job, but was incredibly disappointed. The weather was warm for several days following BelRed s servicing so the furnace did not kick on. We returned from a weekend camping trip a few days later to a freezing cold house and knew something was wrong with the furnace. BelRed s weekend on-call technician (who was knowledgeable and apologetic) came out that same day to discover that the servicing technician did not reattach the flame-sensor wire causing the furnace to shut off when activated. It seems to me that a servicing tech should always double-check to be sure the unit is operating correctly immediately following a servicing job! A few other minor issues we had, especially from a company charging top dollar for servicing, was that the servicing tech left our back gate open and our hose on. Again, minor issues, but not something I expect from a company charging so much. I also have little confidence that our AC unit was serviced properly. When I called BelRed to speak with a manager about a partial furnace-servicing refund, I was placed on hold for 13 minutes while the customer service representative tried to track down a manager only to have him return to tell me he was actually taking other calls. I was placed on hold again for another 2 minutes only to find out that, conveniently, the managers were not at their desks. I asked if someone would return my call that same day and was told yes. Fast forward to the end of that same day and still no return phone call. I called again and was told that the customer service rep s supervisor was reviewing my case and I would receive a call back that evening or the next day. I never received a phone call. It is very clear following my recent experience and attempts to resolve the situation that BelRed has little interest in their customers or their customers concerns. Bottom line - go with a different company. BelRed is extremely overpriced for the quality of their services and their management has little interest in their customers.
