I have been dealing with these guys for years. We are a small heavy equipment dealer and have used their machinery trader and auction time sales publications for years until now. We recently stopped using the publications because Sandhills no longer cares about their customers. Profits are the only thing that matters to this company anymore. What ended our long relationship with sandhills was with their auction time publication. We put a couple machines up for auction that we were consigning for a customer. The customer a week later decided to cancel the auction contract with us. We still had over 40 days before the units went to auction. So we contacted sandhills to cancel the auction. In the past this was never a big deal. Our rep would cancel the auction and there would be no other issue. So apparently their new "policy" is that if you cancel the auction there is a $990 charge per auction. I was never notified of this nor did we sign any contract saying we agreed to this charge. Our rep just decided to tell us when I asked to end the auctions. When I asked if they could not charge us those insane fees he said that there was nothing he could do! After years of business with this company this is the reaction we got which is really sad. I will never do any business with sandhills ever again. Save your money and use another resource for your advertising.
