So, having already test driven the 2WD when the 2017 Ridgeline first came out, and secured the funding needed, we went to the closest dealer to BUY ... not to shop but to BUY. But, we only had an hour to get the AWD test drives (Leigh and me) in before another appointment.

I walk in and say (to an apparent mute named Ron), "We only have an hour and need to drive the 2017 Ridgeline, in AWD, Dark Grey, and with as many options as you have in inventory". Ron passes me to another apparent mute who 20 minutes later returns with a list of inventory and a spin worked out to upsell me to the Black Edition we were standing beside when I specifically asked for a Dark Grey one.

That 20 minutes burned in his effort to upsell us cost us the time needed for the test drive we needed, and cost this dealership the sale.

Both of these mutes were clearly too egotistical to actually listen to the customer. Both were overly focused on maximizing their commissions by disregarding the customer, and with that experience, I feel the need to warn others and take my money elsewhere.
