Buckfast Abbey is such a special place to be. There is a real sense of peace about the place, which in this busy world is priceless. Especially peaceful is the chapel, with beautiful stain glass windows, at the far end of The Abbey. The organ is a masterpiece. A really good bookshop, a monastery shop and gift shop sell many items suitable for gifts. The Grange Restaurant, on site, sells good homely meals. Another building houses a brilliant exhibition about the history of The Abbey. There are houses
on site available as holiday lets and a lovely conference centre. We would highly recommend a visit.
