Tom Forge Review of Legacy Ford

Legacy has been a mixed bag for me over the years (over half a decade of using their services with multiple Ford vehicles). The quick lane and later the Katy quick lane have been fair and fast (Katy especially). The service department does tend to have trouble calling you back. You usually have to call them for updates and they don t do a great job handing off if one of them is on vacation. They need a better service management process so all of their customer facing people can work as one unit. I also have recently come away feeling like about half of my money spent on repairs was just them troubleshooting and making me pay the cost, but that s just a feeling. Their body shop is better than the service department both in follow up and just getting the job done. The shuttle service is great and a major reason to use them since they will pick you back up. Regarding sales, I tried to buy a car from them once, but it never happened because the sales guy was still not there 30 minutes after the appointment time (I was just waiting in the lobby). Another dealer called me with a good offer, so I headed out. When you only have Saturday to buy a car, 30 minutes is a bit too much time to just be waiting to start the process. It signals that the rest of the process would also be slow. With all of the above said, I think the people at Legacy are good people who need a few improvements to be better, mainly in terms of scheduling and follow up. If someone from Legacy reads all this, I advise that this is most likely an issue with your overall processes and not any one individual.
