We spent a week at this splendid location as part of our time share exchange. Our accommodation was in one of the self standing A frame chalets, overlooking Rutland Water, the largest man-made reservoir in the UK. The kitchen appliances were modern and it was nice to see a single unit washer/dryer included in the kitchen. All crockery was either Royal Albert or Royal Doulton, a nice touch. The nearby historic town of Oakham is well worth a visit. Places like Cambridge and Duxford (air museum) are also within 2 hours drive. Lots of lovely walking trails on site. There is accommodation for two adults on the upper level of the chalet as well but that's quite cramped. The main floor bedroom sleeps two and the sofa bed in the living area can accommodate two as well.
