It is so hard to give my favorite cupcake place only 1 star. We love Dreamcakes. The cupcakes and oatmeal cream pies are to die for and we always enjoy stopping by, but Dreamcakes was a huge disappointment on our wedding day. We showed them a photo of the exact cake we wanted, which they had made for a previous bride. We did want a smaller cake (just like the photo) because we were doing a dessert table, but the tiny (and leaning) little cake they showed up with looked pathetic (and it was $85). They kept referring to the invoice that had the measurements of the cake being fairly small, smaller than I thought, but since right underneath that they wrote "SEE PHOTO" I trusted that they would get it right. They also make the over the moon cupcakes white for weddings which wasn't what we wanted and not something we were told. When I expressed both concerns at the wedding, I was very rudely told that this was the cake we ordered and we didn't tell anyone we wanted the cupcakes to be blue (the only way they ever were in the store). I've never heard of a vendor being rude to the bride on her wedding day, but Dreamcakes absolutely was. If you want a nice little treat, this is your place. Just don't trust them with a big event, especially your wedding day.
