I think that the idea feels amazing and the execution is decent. A word in the kitchen. I had the chicken sandwich. The bun was good. The BBQ sauce tasted decent.
The slaw was kind of limp, the cabbage had no real texture. It wasn't slimey, it just wasn't good.
The chicken... I'm conflicted. Frying a chicken breast for a sandwich is a simple task but the execution proves true know-how in the kitchen.
My chicken breast was unevenly cooked. The thickness wasn't consistent so you'll get dry bits and moist bits. Overall it still seemed overcooked. The breading fell apart. It felt like the chicken didn't rest after it was fried before it was plated. A piece of fried chicken needs a great crunch, and that's one place it was lacking. The breading must have had spices in it because it tasted slightly burnt and the appearance was very dark, nearly burnt overall.
The service was fine, but I was confused be what felt like inexperience from the kitchen. They have a decent menu, but chicken shouldn't be a dish you mess up. I don't believe I will be coming back anytime soon.
Edit: I was there Sunday Evening around 6:00 pm.
