I purchased an hp DeskJet printer that was supposed to come with ink cartridges. When I got home and opened the printer box I found that the cartridges were missing. I called customer service and asked if I could come to the store to pick up the cartridges. The customer service agent said that they didn't know how to help me, and that I should come back to the store and buy additional ink cartridges. I told them I wasn't willing to pay for a product I already purchased. I was advised to return the product to the store and to buy a new printer, and the customer service agent said that when I return I should do a better job of looking for a printer that wasn't previously returned or tampered with. Since when is it the customer's job to ensure product quality?
