It's all about what you're into. Earlier today it was less crowded. In the larger, nighttime crowd the visuals had more clarity. The over-the-top displays we're huge, bright, colorful, active, sparkly... Hold on. Gotta catch my breath!
Let your eyes come back to the faces and you'll see average, over-painted, sad, exuberant, insecure, confident, joyful, pained humans. Look lower, at the sidewalk, and you'll see urine, refuse, homelessness, blindness, deafness (or so the cardboard said), sometimes with swollen ankles, blank stares, rocking bodies, bleeding veinous stasis wounds..., and we all just keep walking.
