I was assigned to a unit based on my PCU experience and then constantly assigned MedSurg patients as the hospital gave me ONE DAY TO ORIENT on PCU and said I didn't measure up. They subsequently gave me the most confused patients over and over on MedSurg. When I e-mailed the nurse manager about my misgivings, I was contacted by FlexCare's Director of Nursing and told that I wasn't to voice any displeasure with my assignment, despite the fact that the hospital made decisions about how to staff me without consulting me. FlexCare did not have my back at all. How they are rated #1 is beyond me.
