Our harbour view room at 604 was not a harbour vie...

Our harbour view room at 604 was not a harbour view but a view of traffic. Didn't meet expectations but ok. Room service response was very timely and Natalia who served us was remarkably friendly and accommodating. I had booked a table for brunch at Altitude the next day - I called to confirm a window view table so at least we can enjoy that at brunch and the lady on the phone said she will note it as they were just about to allocate seating. When we arrived there was no one to be seen to greet us out front and take us to our seats. We waited and after a while I called the service desk to ask where the host was. She said they will be back shortly so we waited again but still no one came to the desk. Only when we asked a waiter passing by did he go and find the "supervisor" Emily, who didn't even apologise for not being out front and making us wait and shown to our seats. The table was not at the window. It was at the glass podium a few metres away from the window so that expectation was also not met. Luckily Parker, our waiter was incredibly pleasant and tried to do everything he could knowing how unhappy we were, which made up for the final mishap. The bell staff downstairs were also lovely to work with - they were professional and leaving our bags with them was the only seamless experience I reasonably believe we received during our stay. We were excited to try Shangri La as it is famous for its location and wonderful views of the harbour but got nothing like that for the price we paid. I now don't feel comfortable recommending anyone else to stay at this hotel due to our sub par experience based on the price we paid for what should have been a 5-star tier hotel.
