Like many of the reviews on here, I used to come to the Colonial Diner for years until the quality began to decline with the previous owner. I stopped going for a while and the then was informed by word of mouth that Colonial Diner has been remodeled under new ownership. I decided to give it another try and both the service and food is fantastic.

I came here today, October 26th, for lunch and it was busy. While waiting to be seated, one of the servers could be overheard saying she could not handle any more people in her section up front. We (a party of five) ended up being seated in the back and it was the BEST THING that could have happened for the dining experience.

Stacey, a lovely and attentive server, greeted all of us with a smile. While hustling between multiple tables of large parties, she managed to take all of our orders and answered our questions about the food. During the service, she kept all of our glasses full and made sure our needs were met, exceeding all expectation. She kept her pace, calm, and smile all while taking care of everyone in her section.

As for the food, it is outstanding. My brother, who is vegetarian, had the "best cup of soup in years". Every meal portion was adequate size and cooked to perfection. Their recipes and quality is even higher now than it was years ago.

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Colonial Diner for an excellent mean and dining experience. Ask for Stacey and you will have fantastic service to go with the food - the best of both worlds.
