I'm a client of this company for many years...decades...had a major problem years ago where their lack of attention and professionalism cost me about $2000 out of pocket. This was because a health insurance policy they sold me canceled for non-payment, despite me having authorized auto-debit from my checking account. The policy lapsed without my knowledge, and a Dr ordered an endoscopy because I complained about heartburn. Once I realized the policy had lapsed, it was too late because no insurance company would write me because there was a Dr's order for this procedure and nobody would insure me until after this was done....which I had to pay out of pocket for. Levine insurance ignored the problem though it was obviously an internal issue, saying my checking account auto-debit paperwork had been lost, and just blew me off at the time, saying it wasn't their responsibility or their problem and that I was on my own. They feigned ignorance and said there was nothing they can do and they didn't warn me before hand because they had no way of knowing the policy was going to lapse....which I found out later was untrue. They didn't take the time or effort to warn me the policy was going to expire. When I pressed them Harry (owner) said he'd look into it and see if he could help or participate in the cost. Never heard a word back and then couldn't get anyone there to talk with me about it at all. Fast forward to this year and NOW I get an email from them saying their office will no longer be giving warning phone calls about "late payments and cancellations because of non-payment". They didn't do that when my health ins expired and at the time lied to me about it. There is one employee there that has always been nice and listened to my rants with patience, his name is Fred. He's the only policy salesperson that has ever really gone out of his way to be nice and professional. The problem I encountered was ownership not taking responsibility for their companys mistake. At the time I had virtually all my insurance with them, since then I have cut that back to only a couple of policies. I wanted to sue them at the time but wasn't practical with time and expense. Still, I don't forget when I've been screwed and this was one of the worse experiences I've ever had with any insurance company.
