I have recently stayed at the Niagara Falls Hilton...

I have recently stayed at the Niagara Falls Hilton Hotel booked for one night, and spending it with my partner and another couple.
Upon arrival into the hotel, we had made our way to underground parking. With full intentions of wanting to stay parked on site to avoid extra interactions with people, I was prepared to pay the fee of $45.00 and not $30.00 offsite. When approached by the workers directing vehicles, the gentleman advised me that they were full onsite and I would have to use off site parking. This would have been completely fine if the couple behind us that I was travelling with was not offered onsite parking due to the sole fact that he drove a sports car. Already leaving a sour taste in my mouth, as if I was not valued as an important person to the hotel.
When I got back to the hotel after being on the shuttle, I was very dissatisfied to see that there was no one maintaining control over the direction in which people were walking in, as well as not
enforcing the mandatory mask rule. It was to say the least a big zoo in the lobby.
After checking in I went to the room that was written on my key card. This room was mid tower room 920. When getting to the room I noticed that the clean seal tag has already been broken, and when entering the room, other people s belongings were on the desk and table area. To me this means I was assigned a room that someone was still living in for the night. This is absolutely unacceptable not only due to the pandemic we are currently facing, but also for the sole purpose of privacy. Had I known someone else had access and entered my room while I was not there, I would be extremely upset with the organization, and trust within the hotel.
Had I not have been a sane human, who knows what could have happened to the belongings in the room. Aswell, I am not only bringing my germs into the room, I am also collecting the ones that were in there through someone else.
When going back to the main lobby to let the front desk know, the gentleman I spoke to apologized but in the same breath made a joke that If no one was there I would have just helped myself to what was left (in reference to a bottle of alcohol I had told him I noticed on the counter)
This is totally unacceptable.
Waking up in the morning with full intention to leave by usual check out time 11:00am (but not sure because I was never made aware at check in) I was woken up at 9:00am by the cleaning service. This alone is fine because I had not placed the tag on the door to not come in, but do you not think knowing that we are only here for one night, common sense would be to wait until after check out time, and then come clean the room KNOWING that we would be gone by then.
Overall my experience was not worth near $300.00, and I will not be back.
