Below the standard of care. I came in with my family because my mother suffered an injury to the head with broken tooth. She waited 2.5 hours in the waiting room with pain and none of the healthcare professionals even offered ice for swelling during her wait. One nurse just took blood pressure and temperature then said "You're good. Pressure is normal." And dismissed us immediately to wait in the lobby without basic medical screening questions.
How many people were in the ER when we sat down? 2/5 people we're ER patients.
I had to get up and ask for ice myself. Because we didn't have any left.
When she finally did see a doctor and nurse. She sadly rated her pain of 10.
At Express Care she was just given Tylenol... For a pain scale of 10. I did not comment on that because our nurse insisted she didn't need anything stronger.
Even at the express care unit was a poor experience. It appeared no one could find supplies they needed as they were talking out loud. Even the front desk was harrasing other families about a 1 visiter policy. Which is understandable but was not expressed in a kind or proper manner.
I was not very happy with my visit here.
