My friends and I visited this establishment at midnight on a Monday evening. Despite the fact we're quite clearly of age, we had to surrender ID at the door; that's fine, procedure is procedure. However, when we came to order drinks, the barmaid clearly had very little enthusiasm for serving. The effort portrayed for making a few gin and tonics was clear on her face - like she'd been asked to walk a thousand miles to find happiness (blonde pigtails aren't a start). When one of my party asked for ice, she replied with dead face, "We don't have ice." I give one star; one for the fact they're open late on a bank holiday.
