The location of the place is great: right next to the tube and minutes away from great dining/going out on Brick Lane. However, I really don't like this "hip" no-reception style layout in the lobby: just some people with an iPhone nowadays? Why? The reception is not recognizable as such. Staff was friendly though.

Worst however was the awful stuffy air in the hallways and the rooms. Although we were in January, it was like a sauna inside and the windows couldn't be properly opened. Even worse: the airco unit could only blow hot air as well. The bathroom also didn't have any connection to ventilation whatsoever and wasn't very clean. Definitely not the standard I'm used to with Ibis.

For the rest, the place should get a 3-4 star rating IMHO, but you cannot let people sleep in stuffy warm air like that. Hence: a 2-star rating.
