This is a unique National Park because it comes in 2 halves, with Tuscon in the middle.
I personally prefer the West side, as it offers stunning cacti fields along with rocky hillsides to clamber up.
The East side is also magical but a tad more on the flat side. Excellent views of the mountain range serve as a majestic backdrop to the trails that crisscross the landscape.
All staff members and rangers at these locations were friendly and knowledgeable.
