To summarize- Ally took my money and I'm fighting ...

To summarize- Ally took my money and I'm fighting to get it back. Now Ally delays all my transfers by up to a week. My recommendation: If you haven't had a chance to use the services provided by Ally bank yet, I'd first invite you to set yourself on fire. I think you would have a similar level of dissatisfaction, but my way saves you hours and hours of poor customer service experiences.

UPDATE: I tried to use Zelle and Ally has their own Zelle department so I can't use the Zelle app. I used Ally and they blocked the transaction. I called and got it authorized and the money wouldn't get there for 7 days.
My wife used her Zelle instead and the money arrived in 5 minutes. I thought with the previous story, Ally had reached the limits of their incompetence, but they never cease to amaze me.

The story

I initiated ACH pull transactions using ally from other banks. So I used ally to request money be sent from other banks. Money was withdrawn but never deposited.

I asked ally and they said they would keep the money because if some questions about whether or not is as the account owners at the other institutions. They suspended all my transfers until I proved I owned the external accounts. I was required to submit all my bank statements.

I did. They unsuspended all of my accounts after about a week. But they never gave me the money I had sent. I asked when I would get that and they told me I wouldn't. I'd have to file a dispute with the external banks.

I initiated it through ally. Why not file a dispute through ally? "No, we can't do that." Was the response I got.
Transfers were requested in 12/4 for several thousand dollars. It's 12/22 and I still don't have the money. I filed disputed with the external banks and they all ask who I initiated the transfer through. When I tell them I used Ally, they ask why didn't I file the dispute with ally? I said I tried to and they told me they wouldnt. Help me.

I strongly recommend almost any other financial institution for your banking needs. Or just set yourself on fire. It probably is just as bad as dealing with Ally, but it is a quicker way to achieve the same bad day. (Not citizens, third federal or wells fargo. They are pretty bad too.) I've been a happy ally customer for 6 years prior to this month. And now, I too, am in the market for a new bank. I'd love any recommendations as well.

PLEASE DON'T ACTUALLY SET YOURSELF ON FIRE. I'd just strongly recommend you DO NOT USE ALLY.
