The hotel has a very good internet presence and gives the impression of an upscale 4-5 star hotel. The prices are accordingly high.

Unfortunately, the quality of the hotel doesn't reflect that.

Here some examples....

On the first day after arrival there was a knock on the room door around 11 am, despite the red "Do not disturb" sign. Then what are the signs and lights for !?

After we left the room shortly after noon there was no more house keeping.
I expect houskeeping to be carried out after noon.

The toilet in our room had a very unpleasant smell from the drain. This should probably be rinsed regularly !?

The smell from the air conditioning is very unpleasant and putrid, the filters here seem to have not been cleaned for a long time.

At breakfast the tables are sometimes dirty and sticky. The gentleman at the egg station spoke English so poorly that the guests were dissatisfied several times and did not get what was ordered.
My own omelette was in no way what I ordered. Apart from the 15-minute waiting time.

The hallways in front of the elevators and rooms were sometimes dirty and that for hours, so I seriously wonder what the mass of middle-class staff is for.

When we took a dip in the pool, we found that the non-swimmer pool is very dangerous as hundreds of tiles have come loose.
Various tiles would be collected by the guests and placed on the edge of the pool. When asked, we were informed that the problem had been known for more than a year.

We have been traveling to Asia at least once a year for many years and always in upscale hotels. We have never found such a bad price-performance ratio.

After addressing things in writing, one of the managers came up to us and apologized and was offered a meal to make amends. In all honesty, if I pay $ 150 a night for a room, I can afford to eat alone! But I expect the hotel and the room to match the service I paid for.

We also didn't get the impression that our complaints were taken seriously. The next day the same picture appeared at the pool. With the result that a guest cut himself on the shard.

The hotel gave the impression of a transit hotel, which is probably due to the proximity to the airport. Going on vacation looks different for us ....
